ChatGPT Updates (June 2023)

In this article we well review most recent ChatGPT Updates and News, such as: iOS app release, shared links, Bing Plugin and more.

OpenAI is broadening the reach of the ChatGPT app for iOS to more nations and territories. The ChatGPT app is now accessible in the Apple App Store for users in 11 countries, which include the United States, Albania, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, Jamaica, Korea, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Nigeria, and the United Kingdom.

Shared Links

OpenAI plans to extend availability to more countries and regions in the following weeks. Updates on the iOS app rollout can be tracked at a specific location.

Furthermore, OpenAI is thrilled to announce a new capability: shared links. This function allows ChatGPT conversations to be created and shared with others. The shared link recipients can either read the conversation or import it to their chats to prolong the discussion. This feature is currently being rolled out to a limited group of alpha testers, but it’s planned to be extended to all users (including those using the free version) in the forthcoming weeks.

To share ChatGPT conversations, here are the steps:

  1. Click on the conversation you’d like to share.
  2. Select the “Share” button.
  3. Click on “Copy Link”.

ChatGPT Bing Plugin

OpenAI has further integrated the browsing feature with Bing. Currently in beta for paid users, you can now delve deeper into queries that the model performs. OpenAI is eager to extend this integration in the near future.

Disabling Chat History on iOS

OpenAI has now made it possible to disable your chat history on iOS. If the chat history is deactivated, the conversations initiated on your device will not be utilized to refine our models, will not show up in your history on other devices, and will only be preserved for 30 days. Much like the functionality on the web, this setting does not synchronize across different browsers or devices. You can Learn more.
